Just took a walk around Fenway – using Bing Maps

Bing Maps just released a new (beta) way of exploring maps. It allows you to walk and look around ‘inside’ the map. With Sophie sitting next to me on the couch we took a walk around Fenway Park.

first time i saw this.. seems pretty similar to google streetview, except with better fades and animations and slightly better user itnerface and feel to it :)

I just realized why ... its implemented in Silverlight! Sweet (but not as usable by everyone)

Yeah, the UI is sweet. I believe Silverlight is being pushed as an optional download via Windows Update. It'd be interesting to see some stats on how many people have the plugin installed.
